About Matt Schultz
Matt Schultz is a pastor, community leader, and father of three who has served Alaskan families for more than two decades. As the Pastor at Anchorage First Presbyterian Church, Matt has led a congregation rooted in service, organizing volunteers, partnering with local nonprofits, and building programs that meet Alaskans where they are. Under his leadership, the church has played a leading role in efforts to expand safe, stable housing for Anchorage’s homeless community, including supporting initiatives that turned underused properties into long-term, dignified homes. Matt brings the same roll-up-your-sleeves approach to every challenge: convene people, find common ground, and get results.
Matt earned his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. He has counseled Alaskans through illness, addiction, and loss, and those experiences have shaped his conviction that policy should serve real people, not special interests. He’s running for Congress to lower costs for working families, protect access to health care across every region of the state, and deliver a future for the next generation of Alaskans. Matt and his wife, Elizabeth, are raising their three children in Anchorage.

Tom Begich - Governor https://www.tombegichforalaska.com

Longtime Alaskan and former legislator, Tom Begich, has filed to run for Governor in 2026. He had time to speak the Egan Dinner on Friday, August 22. As Joelle Hall explained in her introduction, Tom has a unique talent to bring people together with respectful persuasion. He is a listener and now intends to travel the state to hear the concerns of Alaskans. He will disagree honestly with facts and without rancor.

His record in the legislature speaks for itself. He was chair of the Senate minority for several years, gaining friends and influencing the actions of legislators in Juneau. He has the courage of his convictions and will work to set Alaska back on track after the Dunleavy decline. Please support Tom in every way you can. https://www.tombegichforalaska.com
